About papermaking

The papermaking method is a method of manufacturing nonwoven fabrics. There are two types of manufacturing methods for nonwoven fabrics: dry and wet . The papermaking method is a “wet” method.
(Non-woven fabrics are fabric sheets that bonded or entangled by thermo-mechanical or chemical action without weaving fibers.)

★Our manufacturing method

Wet nonwoven fabric

Fibers are mixed with water, and the slurry is passed through a net to separate fibers from the water, and the fibers are dried to form a sheet.
It is the same manufacturing method as papermaking.

Dry nonwoven fabric

It is a manufacturing method that disperses the fibers in the air and laminates the fibers.
Compared to the wet method, uniformity is difficult because the layers are laminated in the air.

Strength of papermaking

FEATURE

FEATURE 01 High dispersibility and stable orientation

High dispersibility and stable orientation are possible even with long fibers.
→ Stable high strength is possible.

FEATURE 02 Highly flexible formulation

A high degree of freedom in composition is possible.
→ It is possible to develop to various functional of materials.

PRODUCT 01

Automotive engine

Resin balance shaft gear

About the balance shaft gear

It is used as a balance shaft drive gear that suppresses the vibration of in-line 4-cylinder automobile engines.
Gear rattling noise is greatly reduced by means of resinification.

Manufacturing process
of balance shaft gear

Intermediate material sheet is manufactured by uniformly dispersing powdered phenolic resin and high-strength, high-vibration-damping aramid fiber using a papermaking method.
The intermediate material is punched into a gear shape, dried, laminated, heat-pressed, then finished.
